What's the difference between a wedding planner and a day-of coordinator?
A wedding planner works with you throughout the entire 6-12+ month planning process, helping with vendor selection, design concepts, and budget management.
As your day-of coordinator, I focus on executing your vision in the final weeks and on the wedding day itself.
I take the plans you’ve already made and ensure everything runs smoothly, allowing you and your loved ones to fully enjoy your Maritime wedding celebration.
When should I book a day-of coordinator?
I recommend booking 6-8 months before your wedding to ensure availability, especially if you’re planning a wedding during peak season (June-September).
However, I occasionally have last-minute availability, so don’t hesitate to reach out even if your wedding is approaching soon!
Booking & Logistics
How do we get started working together?
The process begins with a casual conversation to discuss your wedding vision and needs. Typically on the phone or a Zoom call – whatever works best for you! Once you decide to book, I’ll send over a contract and invoice for the deposit. From there, we’ll schedule our consultations based on your selected package.
What forms of payment do you accept?
I accept e-transfers for all payments.
What geographic areas do you serve?
I’m based in Halifax and work throughout Nova Scotia, the Maritimes, and beyond. Travel fees apply to locations more than an hour away from Halifax.
Services & Packages
What exactly will you do on my wedding day?
On your wedding day, I’ll be your point person for everything logistical. This includes coordinating vendor arrivals and setup, ensuring the timeline stays on track, handling any unexpected issues that arise, coordinating the ceremony processional, directing guests, and cueing important moments.
My goal is to handle all the behind-the-scenes details so you and your guests can focus on celebrating.
Do you stay for the entire reception?
My day-of package includes 10 hours of coverage, which typically spans from setup through the key reception moments. We’ll discuss your timeline during our consultation to determine the best use of those hours.
If you need additional coverage, we can discuss extending hours for an additional fee.
Can you help with our rehearsal?
Yes! Rehearsal coordination is included in all packages. I’ll help organize your wedding party, explain how the processional will work, and ensure everyone knows their roles for the ceremony.
Do you set up decorations?
I can assist with light decor setup like place cards, guest books, and small centerpieces. For more elaborate decor that requires significant time or multiple people, I recommend assigning friends/family to handle setup with my oversight.
What makes your coordination services unique?
As an independent coordinator (not a large company), you’ll work directly with me throughout the entire process.
